Fatshark has delayed the release of the seasonal content rollout and the Xbox Series version of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide while addressing the feedback it received from players on the PC version.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide launched for PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on November 30, 2022. The Xbox Series version was set to launch “soon after”.

Get the full message from Fatshark CEO and co-founder Martin Wahlund about the delay below.

We are extremely proud of our ability at Fatshark to deliver a game for millions to enjoy. This was what we started with Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide-to create a highly engaging and stable game with a depth that will keep you playing for weeks instead of hours.

We did not live up to those expectations.

In the coming months, our sole focus will be to address the feedback many of you have. In particular, we will focus on delivering a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression loop, and continue to work on game stability and performance optimization.

This also means we will be postponing the rollout of seasonal content and the launch of the Xbox Series X|S. We will also suspend the upcoming releases of premium cosmetics. We just couldn’t continue down this road knowing that we didn’t cover many feedback points in the game today.

Thanks for playing and providing feedback. We really appreciate it. It has and will continue to help shape the game we love.

Martin Wahlund,
CEO and co-founder of Fatshark
