Random: Do Pokémon Scarlet and Violet contain hints to the next region?

As Pokémon releases get closer and closer together, we’re seeing more 8-in-game references to the next game in the series well before it’s announced.

In Pokémon X and Y, there was a “Strange Souvenir” that hinted at a future location – which would turn out to be Sun and Moon’s Alola. In Sword and Shield, many people speculated that the wallpaper in Hotel Ionia, decorated with oranges and grapes, was a subtle hint at Scarlet and Violet’s orange/grape theme. Likewise, the Diamond and Pearl remakes in late 2021 had some scarlet and violet flowers that small too purposeful to be an accident.

So it stands to reason that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet might hold a hint to the next region – and players don their Sherlock deer hunters to find it.

The prevailing theory at the moment is that this poster in the art room depicts Uluru as hinting at Australia and possibly other parts of Oceania:

Hold on, let’s zoom in:

Not convinced? Yeah, neither do we. But look! We straightened the image and compared it to the Real Uluru for you:

Sure, the real Uluru is less blurry, but we’re actually on board with an Aussie Pokémon game. Imagine: Kangaskhan evolutions, terrible spiders, licorice bears… the potential is limitless!

What do you think though? Do we get our hope? Have you seen other tips? Tell us your opinion in the comments!
